Adding contacts to existing groups
The Drooms Chat and the related contacts management offers an alternative, convenient way to repetitively and quickly add users, who you invite on a regular basis, to a variety of projects and user groups.
Instead of adding manually users to groups, populate your Drooms Chat contacts with all your known, regular project participants once to further on simply select them in your contacts and add them to any of your projects and target groups per batch whenever and wherever needed.
To add existing contacts to a project, proceed as follows:
- After signing in to Drooms, hover the mouse over your name at the top to open the user profile drop-down menu and select option 'Contacts' to open the Contacts page.
- Select one or more of your contacts best by using the check boxes, who you want to add to a project.
- Open the context menu with a click on the hover-over '(...)' icon with three dots, and select option 'Add to data room'.
- The dialog 'Add to data room' will pop up, allowing you to:
- Review and edit the selection of contacts once more
- Select the target project
- Select the target user group in the selected project
- Select, if the selected contacts should be invited to the project straight away, or later on
- When done, click on 'Add' to add the contacts to the selected project and user group.
Alternatively, you can also add single contacts via the Chat:
- Open the Chat panel and select the 1-1 chat with the contact, whom you want to add to a data room.
- Click on the '...' icon with three dots to open the chat context menu, then select option 'Add to Data Room' to open the dialog 'Add to data room' and proceed, as already described above.
