Editing personal notifications settings
'Updates & Changes' and 'Q&A' e-mail notifications keep administrators, regular users, and Q&A participants up-to-date about specific activities in data rooms when they are offline. The notifications are sent in case of added or deleted index items and documents, items pending approval by administrators, or
questions and answers requiring action.
The first time you sign in to Drooms a dialogue 'Personal Settings' will ask you to select an interval for Updates & Changes notifications, as well as one for Q&A notifications, if you have been invited to a project that features or might feature a Q&A process at some point of time. If you skip making any settings, the default settings will apply, but you can edit your personal notifications settings any time later on.
To edit your personal notifications settings, proceed as follows:
- Sign in to Drooms.
- Hover the mouse over your name in the top bar to open the user settings menu, and select option 'Notifications' to open the 'Notifications' settings page.
- On the left you can manage the frequencies (intervals) of e-mail notifications for updates and changes of the data room index and documents, and f e-mail notifications about pending Q&A tasks. Options are for each kind of notification:
- Never
- Immediately (every 15 minutes)
- 1x daily (every night)
- 1x weekly (every Monday/Tuesday night)
- On the right you can choose, if you want to receive notifications at all, and for which projects, in case you have access to multiple projects.
If
you do not get an Updates & Changes or Q&A notification, it means that no
index item or document has been added, moved, or deleted, or respectively no new questions or answers require action since you last signed in to the data room.
You
will not be notified about index items and documents having been
added, moved, or deleted, or new questions or answers requiring your attention when you are online and working in a data room.
You will not be notified again about items you have already been notified about before.
