Exporting index points

Exporting index points

Sometimes it may come more handy to review, compare and edit index points not online, but using MS Excel sheets, and then import the edited index points again. You can either download the whole index, or just parts of it by selecting specific folders, or also download search hits and filtered index points.

To export the whole index in its regular order, proceed as follows:
  1. Select 'Data Room' in the navigation menu on the left to access the data room index and ensure that the index tree view mode is active (the respective toggle button 'List view' can be seen, if not, click on 'Tree view').

  1. Click on the 'Export index' button.

  2. You will be notified once the index export file is available for download under 'My Downloads'. It will contain all folders and index points together with all other data and columns currently displayed in the index.

To export search hits or a list of filtered and sorted index points, proceed as follows:
  1. Select 'Data Room' in the navigation menu on the left to access the data room index. Then execute a search or filter and sort the index points as desired. Ensure that the list view mode is active (the respective toggle button 'Tree view' can be seen, if not, click on 'List view').

  1. Click on the 'Export index' button to export the whole list. Alternatively you can also select one or more of the listed index points and then export just these as list

  2. You will be notified once the index export file is available for download under 'My Downloads'. It will contain all folders and index points together with all other data and columns currently displayed in the index.

Alternatively, to either export the whole index or only parts of it, proceed as follows:
  1. Select 'Data Room' in the navigation menu on the left to access the data room index and ensure that the index tree view mode is active (the respective toggle button 'List view' can be seen, if not, click on 'Tree view').
  1. With a right mouse-click either select the top data room folder to export the whole index, or a specific sub-folder to only export the selected folder's index sub-tree, opening the index context menu.

  1. Click on the button first from right in the index context menu top bar to export the whole or partial index.

  2. You will be notified once the index export file is available for download under 'My Downloads'. It will contain all the selected folder(s) sub-folders and index points together with all other data and columns currently displayed in the index.
