What is Drooms FLEX?

Drooms FLEX is the ready-to-go, self-administered data room solution for straightforward transactions, fundraising, or simple and secure storage of documentation. What is included in Drooms FLEX data room and how much does it cost?

The basic price for a Drooms FLEX data room is €17,90* per user/month, with 10 users minimum being included. Besides various basic features like Activity Reporting, Granular Permissions, Document Viewer, and Upload via Email, among many more, Drooms FLEX data rooms also always include following seven features:

Why do my monthly Drooms FLEX invoices change as of November 1st, 2023, and what does the new pricing scheme look like?

As of November 1st, 2023, Drooms introduced a new and simpler pricing scheme for Drooms FLEX data rooms. While the basic subscription fee of previously €12,90 per user per month was raised to €17,90*, now the previously optional features Advanced Permissions, Index Allocation, and Document Translation are included in every Drooms FLEX in the basic set of features, too, instead of charging additional €5,00* per user per month for each of them as before.

On the other hand, our Q&A feature and the new Redaction feature are each now offered as premium on-demand features at additional €9,90 per user per month, due to their specific purpose and value. All billing plans and Drooms FLEX invoices are recalculated correspondingly.

We apologise for any related inconvenience, but after keeping the Drooms FLEX pricing stable for many years, it became necessary to simplify and adjust the overall pricing scheme as described above.

Do I get Drooms support included with my Drooms FLEX data room?

What is the difference between Drooms FLEX and other Drooms‘ solutions?

The main difference is in the pricing and type of support included. Customers with a Drooms LIFECYCLE or Drooms TRANSACTION data room are entitled to full e-mail and phone support, while Drooms FLEX customers are entitled to technical support by e-mail. Furthermore, there are additional services included for Drooms LIFECYCLE or Drooms TRANSACTION clients, such as onboarding and data room training, while FLEX customers can purchase them. Can I add additional features and how much do they cost?

Yes. In addition to the seven features already included; the following premium features can be added to your data room:
  • Q&A
  • Redaction

Please note that we charge €9,90 per user/month for each additional feature added.

When will I be charged for additional add-ons the first time?

As of June 2023 you will have to complete the full checkout process when upgrading an active data room with additional users and/or features, but will not be immediately charged for the upgrades. Instead, the pro-rata charge due for the remaining days of the current billing period for the additional add-ons will be added to the next monthly recurring invoice.

Can I cancel or exchange features I ordered for the data room?

No, once you have purchased additional feature(s), it is not possible to remove or exchange them.

What is the minimum and maximum number of user licenses I can purchase for Drooms FLEX?

The minimum number of user licenses is 10 and the maximum number that can be purchased per order in the same checkout process is 100.

Where can I find the number of unused user licenses I have left for my Drooms FLEX data room?

Please visit our website www.drooms.com and click on the 'FLEX Account' link at the top right. After signing in, switch to the 'Account' tab. The data room tile for your Drooms FLEX data room shows, how many unused user licenses are left.

Can I downgrade the amount of Drooms FLEX user licenses I have? When does the change take effect?

Yes, you can downgrade the user licenses to the minimum mandatory amount of 10. However, they first need to be removed from the data room. It is important to note that if you downgrade the user licenses during the current billing month, the change will apply immediately, but only the upcoming invoice will be reduced.

How can I upgrade my free room?

Please visit our website www.drooms.com and click on the 'FLEX Account' link at the top right. After signing in, switch to the 'Account' tab. The data room tile for your Drooms Free trial data room will show a button ‘Upgrade to FLEX’. Click on this button to open a window with the upgrade options. Click on ‘Buy now’ to upgrade your free trial data room to a Drooms FLEX data room. Customise your data room and then proceed to the checkout. All the data uploaded in the free room will still be available in the upgraded data room. Please make sure you do not book an entirely new data room if you want to keep the data.

Alternatively, you can also upgrade your free room by clicking on the 'Upgrade to paid' link on the special shopping tile displayed on the Drooms Home page with the data room selection. You will then be redirected to your Drooms FLEX account to finish the corresponding order and check-out process.

My free trial ended. Can I still upgrade my free room?

Yes. Upgrading the free room is still possible up to 4 weeks after the trial period has ended. After that the data room is deleted.

Do I get a refund when downgrading user licenses between two billing days?

No, we do not initiate a refund when you downgrade the number of user licenses’ you have. This holds true even when the user licenses are downgraded on the same day they are bought.

What is the difference between downgrading user licenses and blocking users?

Downgrading user licenses will affect the amount paid on a monthly basis. Blocking users only affects the access granted to the data room. This means, you will still be charged for the blocked (temporarily restricted) users. To enable a downgrade of user licenses however, you must not only block, but delete users first, if more user licenses are currently used than you want to pay for i the future. Can the data room owner be changed?

Yes. To do so please contact our support team via: support@drooms.com. In order to assign a new data room owner, he/she should be an active user of your Drooms FLEX data room, too, and should have already a payment method set for his/her Drooms account, too. Please note that the new owner must not be the owner of any other Drooms FLEX data rooms, yet, and that if the current owner has more than one data room, the ownership must be changed for all the data rooms, partial changes are not possible.
