Initial user settings

Initial user settings

The very first time you sign in to Drooms you will be prompted by a 'Personal Settings' dialogue to decide upon a number of basic personal user settings upfront:
  1. your preferred user language
  2. your preferred notifications interval for Updates & Changes notifications
  3. your preferred notifications interval for Q&A notifications (optional)
  4. your preferred Drooms workspace setting

  1. You may also decide to skip the settings dialogue, in which case the default settings will apply as described below. Of course you can edit all these settings whenever you wish.
User Language
  1. You can choose between English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, or Netherlands for using Drooms. English is the default setting until you change it either by selecting another language from the language selection menu on the Drooms Sign In page, or in your personal user settings.
Updates & Changes Notifications
  1. Updates & Changes e-mail notifications keep administrators and regular users up-to-date about new index items and documents having been added, moved, or deleted in their projects while they are offline. Administrators are also notified about new index points and document pending approval, having been added by other users with 'create with approval' permission.
  1. You can choose following intervals for notifications:
  2. Never
  3. Immediately (every 15 minutes)
  4. 1x daily (every night)
  5. 1x weekly (every Tuesday night)
If you do not get a new Updates & Changes notification, it means that no index item or document has been added, moved, or deleted since you last signed in to the data room or received the last notification.

You will not be notified about index items and documents having been added, moved, or deleted when you are online and working in a data room.

You will not be notified again about items you have already been notified about before.
  1. By default you will be notified immediately. You can change the Updates & Changes notification interval any time in your personal Notifications settings.
Q&A Notifications
  1. You will be asked for your preferred interval for Q&A notifications only if you have been invited to a project that features or might feature a Q&A process at some point of time.
  1. Q&A e-mail notifications keep Q&A participants up-to-date about new questions or answers requiring to be submitted, distributed, answered, approved, or read, while being offline.
  1. You can choose following intervals for notifications:
  2. Never
  3. Immediately (every 15 minutes)
  4. 1x daily (every night)
  5. 1x weekly (every Tuesday night)
If you do not get a new Q&A notification, it means that no new questions or answers require action since you last signed in to the data room or received the last notification.

You will not be notified about new questions or answers requiring action when you are online and working in a data room.

You will not be notified again about items you have already been notified about before.
  1. By default you will be notified immediately. You can change the Q&A notification interval any time in your personal Notifications settings.
Workspace
  1. At 'Save my workspace' you can choose, whether you generally want to return to the same spot in a project, where you left it when last signing out (toggled on), to resume work directly when entering it again, or not (toggled off), if you rather prefer to enter a project always again via the data room index section (single-data room projects), or the asset selection (multi-data room projects).
  1. By default your workspace will be saved. You can edit your personal workspace setting any time later.
