Printing documents

Printing documents

Printing documents requires corresponding permissions, which administrators may grant user groups, or not. In any case, only documents can be printed, which Drooms converted for online display, and these documents will be provided as watermarked .pdf files, regardless of the original file format.
Following file formats are converted for online display within the data room: standard .pdf, .png, .jpg, .tif, .tiff, .gif, .txt, .rtf, .xls, .xlsx, .doc., .docx, .ppt, .pptx, .ods, .odt, .odp, .htm, .html. These can be  printed as watermarked .pdf files. Documents with other file formats must be downloaded by the user to open and print them locally with the appropriate third-party software, which requires save permissions.

To print documents, proceed as follows:
  1. After signing in to Drooms, select the desired project and data room (in projects with multiple data rooms). Then select the 'Data Room' section in the left main navigation menu, if it is not already selected.
  1. If you have selected a document in the index and are viewing it in the document viewer, you can use the 'Print' option in the document viewer's floating tool bar to print it.
  1. Alternatively you can also select a document in the index, as well as multiple documents and also folders, in which cases all selected and printable documents can be printed together using the right-click index context menu ‘Print’ option.
  1.  In any case, Drooms will create a .zip file containing the print version(s) of the selected file(s), which is then provided under ‘My downloads’, where it can be downloaded, and then unpacked to print the contained files locally.
Creating the print version of a document, and the overall .zip file can take a while, because of which Drooms will notify you also by e-mail, once the .zip file is ready for download.
