Blocking and unblocking groups and users
As administrator, you have full control over who can see what for how long in your project. Blocking the access of groups and users is therefore just as important for managing groups and users as granting access.
To block groups or users, proceed as follows:
- Select
'Users' in the navigation menu on the left to access the Users section.
A list with user groups will be displayed. You can expand the groups to
view the group members.
- Select
one or more users or groups, which you want to block, with
a right-click to open the context
menu, and select option 'Block access'. The selected user(s) or group(s) will be immediately blocked, indicated by a red dot in the groups and users list.
If a group is blocked, none of the group members can access your project despite individually granted data room access.
Alternatively to blocking groups or users via the context menu, you can also double-click on a group or a user to open the corresponding Group Details overview, respectively the User Details overview, where you not only can disable and enable a group's or user's data room access, but also schedule a future blocking date for a group or a user.
To unblock groups or users, proceed as follows:
- Select blocked user(s) or group(s) with a right click to open the context menu and select option 'Grant access'. The selected user(s) or group(s) will be immediately granted access again.
